WHERE I STARTED
I began my career in sales representing commercial photographers in New York City doing business with leading advertising agencies, graphic design firms, and national consumer brands.
Several years later I started and ran a stock photography agency building a national account base.
WHAT HAPPENED
Following a few company mergers, I landed as National Account Manager and Head of Sales for two other stock photography houses.
It was a great industry to be in, but after many years of enjoying a steady stream of business - there was a sea change. Like many businesses and industries at the time, technology was forcing a change.
A NEW DIRECTION
I entered the commercial real estate field, first as a retail broker and then into investment real estate sales. As fascinating a business as it is, the timing wasn’t right.
At that point I started a Sales Consulting firm and authored an e-Book on Prospecting for New Business.
It was developing nicely. I had done some live workshops and it was actually showing some signs of life. Then the Covid Pandemic hit and everything ground to a halt.
AND NOW...
I have since gotten into the Catering and Hospitality field, which I go into more thoroughly in the Back Story. Link Here... Alan's Story
